Amos Self
Lead Pastor

Having graduated high school in Staples MN,  Amos left for the Marine Corps in 1997 where he was stationed in southern California. Amos and Melodee were high school sweet hearts who finally married each other in 1999. Moving from California to Minnesota in 2001 to attend Bible College, Pastor Amos graduated from North Central University in 2006 as a licensed pastor with the Assemblies of God.  He later received his ordination in 2014.
In 2006 Pastor Amos began serving the youth ministry at Wadena Assembly of God.
In 2010 the need arose for a lead pastor at the Verndale Assembly of God so Pastor Amos & Melodee stepped up to the calling of ministering to the small church of less than 20 in the town of 600.
His wife Melodee leads worship and is actively involved in connecting with other women in the church as well as teaching and loving on their three kids.
Pastor Amos and Melodee have three kids; Paige, Brooke and Miles
